About The Role

ARAs Client Delta is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Databricks, Python, PySpark, Apache Airflow, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that support enterprise data workloads. The Data Engineer will be responsible for building reliable data infrastructure that facilitates analytics and business operations, ensuring high data quality, performance, and observability. The candidate should thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a passion for creating clean, scalable, and maintainable data solutions that align with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Analytics Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python programming with a strong understanding of data processing libraries and frameworks.
• Extensive experience working with Databricks and PySpark for distributed data processing.
• Proven expertise in building and managing Apache Airflow DAGs for workflow orchestration and automation.
• Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and managing data ingestion, storage, and partitioning strategies using Amazon S3.
• Knowledge of modern data lake architectures and best practices for data governance and security.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to process large volumes of enterprise data efficiently.
• Create distributed data processing solutions utilizing Databricks and PySpark to ensure high performance and scalability.
• Build, test, and manage Apache Airflow DAGs to automate workflows and orchestrate data pipelines seamlessly.
• Collaborate closely with analytics, product, and engineering teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop optimized SQL queries and support data modeling initiatives to enhance data accessibility and usability.
• Implement and manage data ingestion, storage, and partitioning strategies within modern data lake architectures, primarily using Amazon S3.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability by implementing appropriate monitoring, logging, and validation mechanisms.
• Contribute to platform optimization, documentation, data governance, and adherence to engineering best practices.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning activities to maintain system efficiency.
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes to facilitate scalable and reliable cloud-native deployments.
