Overview
We are looking for a
Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in
Python and
PostgreSQL to build scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will be hands-on in development, contribute to system design, and collaborate across teams to deliver reliable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python
- Develop and manage relational databases using PostgreSQL
- Write efficient, reusable, and scalable code
- Optimize database queries and improve performance
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams
- Participate in code reviews and ensure coding best practices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing systems
- Contribute to system design and technical discussions
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in Python
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL:
- Query writing and optimization
- Indexing and schema design
- Good understanding of REST APIs and microservices architecture
- Experience with ORM tools (Django ORM / SQLAlchemy)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
