About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust backend services and APIs that power our web applications and software solutions. You will primarily utilize Node.js for server-side development and leverage AWS cloud services for infrastructure management and deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in building scalable, secure, and maintainable backend systems, with a keen eye for performance optimization and security best practices. Collaborating closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers, you will contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle—from initial development to deployment and continuous improvement—helping us deliver innovative solutions to our clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, preferably from Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities. Up to one year of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js in production environments is required, with familiarity in microservices architecture. Candidates should demonstrate strong proficiency in backend technologies, including frameworks such as Express.js or Nest.js, and have experience working with databases like DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, SQS, Redis, and ElasticSearch, along with AWS services like Cognito, S3, and API Gateway, is essential. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is highly desirable. Additionally, experience in writing unit and integration tests using Jest or similar frameworks, along with understanding CI/CD pipelines, will be advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are critical for success. Experience with front-end technologies like React (Redux, React Router) is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position include contributing to the development of new features and enhancements for our web platform, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. You will architect and implement robust backend services, APIs, and server-side logic to support our applications. Collaborating with cross-functional teams—including UX/UI designers and product managers—you will help deliver seamless user experiences. Conducting thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and troubleshooting complex issues to optimize application performance are vital parts of the role. Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends will enable you to recommend improvements to our tech stack. You will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes. Managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and high availability is crucial. Mentoring junior developers, providing guidance, and supporting their professional growth are also integral to this role.
