We are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Managed Services team and drive the modernisation of our cloud infrastructure. This role focuses heavily on automation, scalable deployment models, CI/CD pipeline engineering, and platform reliability across multi‑cloud environments. The successful candidate will help design, build, and operate automated cloud platforms for multiple customers, ensuring consistency, resilience, and operational excellence.
Ensure the customer environments are in operation during business core hours (9am-6pm) and support those critical customers defined as 24*7 within the service catalogue as part of an on-call rota for OOH support.
Assist business units with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases. These activities may include the definition of needs, benefits and technical strategy, technical analysis and design. Support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out new solutions.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years proven experience managing a combination of Production grade Azure/AWS/GCP infrastructure
- Proficient in core Cloud services, including VPC, VNET, RG’s, IAM, App Services
- Solid understanding of Cloud networking concepts and protocols
- Expert level proficiency with IaC tools, emphasis on Terraform. Bicep and CloudFormation are a bonus
- Hands‑on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Azure DevOps, ArgoCD
- Experience with GitOps workflows
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Good understanding of cloud networking, identity, and Zero Trust principles
- Experience operating in an MSP or multi‑tenant environment
- Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Zabbix, Grafana)
- Knowledge of FinOps, cost optimisation, and cloud governance frameworks
- Experience with automation frameworks preferably Ansible
Experience implementing and managing service mesh technologies such as Istio/Calico to enhance traffic control, security, and observability
