Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of specialized experience with a strong command of containerization, orchestration, configuration management, and automation scripting. This role requires hands-on expertise in building and optimizing robust CI/CD pipelines and managing resilient, scalable cloud infrastructure across major platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). This role requires a strong sense of ownership, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Containerization & Orchestration: Maintain and optimize containerized environments utilizing Docker and orchestrate large-scale deployments using Kubernetes (K8s).
- Automation & IaC: Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible and Terraform to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions for seamless integration and deployment.
- Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Integrate security testing (SAST/DAST) into CI/CD pipelines and implement infrastructure hardening/compliance policies to meet security standards.
- Cloud Resource Optimization (FinOps): Proactively monitor cloud resource utilization, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement efficiency strategies across all cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts primarily using Shell Scripting (Bash) and Python to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot resources within multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Monitoring & Logging: Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional development and operations teams to streamline workflows and troubleshoot production issues, providing effective root cause analysis.
Required Skills
- Core Technical Stack (Mandatory):
- Strong proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Expertise in configuration management with Ansible.
- Strong automation and scripting skills using Shell Scripting (Bash) and Python.
- Cloud Platforms: In-depth knowledge of one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a preference for X, and hands-on experience supporting multi-cloud deployments.
- IaC Tools: Hands-on experience with Terraform (mandatory for multi-cloud abstraction) and a strong understanding of native IaC tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Azure Bicep).
- CI/CD Tools: Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of Linux systems administration, networking principles, Git version control, and microservices architecture.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a proactive approach to DevSecOps practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
