About The Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems that support our analytics products used by millions of users and B2B clients globally. You will work closely with product managers, data scientists, and frontend developers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building reliable systems and a keen eye for performance optimization, especially when dealing with large-scale data processing and API servicing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing company at the forefront of financial technology innovation, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies including AI, data visualization, and machine learning.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience with Python and Django framework.
• Strong understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, with experience managing large datasets.
• Proficiency with caching systems like Redis and familiarity with system performance tuning.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Ownership mindset with the ability to independently build, ship, and improve features.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of web and mobile application performance metrics.
• (Optional) Knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, robust backend systems using Python and Django, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and frontend developers to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality features.
• Translate business needs into system architecture, optimizing for performance and scalability, especially when handling billions of data rows and millions of API requests per hour.
• Take full ownership of the software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering through deployment and maintenance.
• Write clear and comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate team collaboration and future development.
• Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and quality assurance processes to uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of development practices by establishing and refining best practices and workflows.
• Work on cutting-edge technologies including AI products, online backtesting, data visualization, and machine learning applications.
• Optimize database queries and application performance to ensure seamless user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
