About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack MERN Engineer to join our dynamic team on a long-term basis. This role requires a professional who is not only proficient in the MERN stack but also possesses a deep understanding of scalable architecture, micro-services, and cloud-based deployment strategies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications that serve our global user base. The ideal candidate is a self-driven expert who thrives in a remote work environment, demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills, and is eager to contribute to a fast-paced, innovative culture.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess over nine years of proven experience in full-stack development with a focus on MERN stack technologies. You should have demonstrated expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, Node.js frameworks such as Koa and Express, and experience designing scalable architectures for large web applications. Familiarity with GraphQL and REST APIs is essential, along with strong knowledge of relational databases like MySQL/RDS and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB. You must be a high performer capable of writing modular, reusable, and thoroughly tested code, with a solid understanding of version control workflows using Github. Additionally, you should be actively engaged with AI tools and interested in integrating AI-driven features into applications. Excellent communication skills, trustworthiness, and self-motivation are critical, as this role is fully remote and requires independent work ethic.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be expected to:
- Design and maintain scalable micro-service architectures for large web applications utilizing the MERN stack.
- Develop high-quality, optimized front-end code using ReactJS, and back-end logic with TypeScript, Koa, and Express frameworks.
- Manage complex data storage layers, optimizing performance and data integrity across MySQL and MongoDB databases.
- Collaborate closely with the existing team during IST daytime hours, including daily stand-ups at 9:00 AM IST, to share knowledge and conduct architecture reviews.
- Adhere to SDLC best practices by writing clean, well-documented code and participating in rigorous code reviews.
- Create and execute comprehensive unit tests using Jest to ensure reliability and stability of deliverables.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and develop AI-driven features within our products.
- Streamline CI/CD pipelines and utilize automation tools to facilitate smooth deployment processes.
- Work efficiently within JIRA and AWS environments to manage tasks, infrastructure, and deployment workflows.
