About The Role
The Web Development Intern – Technical Content role at Infrasity offers an exciting opportunity for early-career developers or students passionate about both coding and technical writing. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for building small web projects, such as sample applications, SDK integrations, and automation workflows. Your role will involve documenting these projects comprehensively to serve as valuable resources for other developers. This includes writing detailed guides, READMEs, tutorials, and walkthroughs that clearly explain how these projects work and how they can be utilized effectively.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy combining their coding skills with technical communication. You will have the chance to collaborate closely with engineers and founders from our client companies, gaining insights into real-world product development and deployment. Your work will not only enhance your technical and communication skills but also contribute significantly to the developer community by providing valuable, easy-to-understand content.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a strong interest in web development, technical writing, and community engagement. Ideal qualifications include:
- Basic proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Prior experience in creating technical documentation, tutorials, or blog posts is a plus. Please share links to your work if available.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineers and product managers.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document technical content such as tutorials, use-case guides, SDK how-tos, and walkthroughs for platforms like Dev.to, Medium, and Infrasity.com.
- Collaborate with engineers and founders from client companies to gather insights and craft compelling product stories that resonate with developers.
- Package and distribute content across various developer channels, including GitHub READMEs, Reddit threads, LinkedIn posts, and community forums.
- Translate complex product features into developer-friendly assets such as sample applications, integrations, and concise one-pagers.
- Conduct lightweight experiments with content titles, calls-to-action, and distribution tactics to optimize engagement and drive traffic.
- Engage actively with developer communities by sharing content, responding to comments, and answering questions to foster a community-first approach.
