Job Responsibilities
- JIRA API Development & Integration
- Develop and maintain integrations using JIRA REST APIs.
Automate ticket creation, updates, transitions, and reporting.
- Integrate JIRA with external systems (e.g., CI/CD tools, ITSM platforms, monitoring tools).
- Build middleware or connectors using Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Customization & Workflow Automation
- Customize JIRA workflows, fields, screens, and schemes.
- Implement automation rules using JIRA Automation.
- Develop custom scripts using ScriptRunner (if applicable).
- Create dashboards, reports, and custom JQL queries
- Atlassian Ecosystem Support
- Work with JIRA Software, JIRA Service Management, and Confluence.
Manage plugins and app integrations.
- Perform upgrades and configuration changes in JIRA (Cloud or Data Center).
- DevOps & CI/CD Integration
- Integrate JIRA with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
- Automate issue tracking linked to build and deployment pipelines.
- Support release tracking and sprint automation.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization
- Debug API issues and integration failures.
- Optimize performance of API calls and automation workflows.
- Maintain documentation of integrations and configurations.
- Ensure data integrity and system reliability.
Primary Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with:
JIRA REST APIs
Webhooks and API authentication (OAuth, API tokens)
JSON and RESTful services
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python / Java / JavaScript (Node.js
- Experience with:
JQL (JIRA Query Language)
ScriptRunner (preferred)
Atlassian Cloud or Data Center environment
Secondary Skills
- Experience in JIRA/Netbox/Kestra API. Experience on virtualization technologies (Vmware, VME)
