What You'll Work On
- You'll build and ship features across our three web applications and backend services:
- Homeowner Portal — The inspection experience homeowners see: photo uploads with real-time AI blur detection, multi-step
- inspection flows, payment processing via Stripe
- Insurance Portal — Dashboard used by insurance companies: AG Grid-powered data tables, bulk operations, PDF report
- generation, real-time inspection tracking
- Backend APIs — Node.js/Express services: 53 stored procedures, webhook integrations with insurance carriers, BullMQ job queues
- for email/SMS, read replica routing
- Recent projects our team shipped:
- Stripe payment integration with embedded checkout and webhook-based inspection creation
- ONNX-powered image clarity scoring running in-browser via WebAssembly
- Westhill Global repair coordination — automated data transfer across 7 service categories
- Nationwide PolicyCenter integration with mutual TLS and OAuth2
Responsibilities
Build features end-to-end
Design database schemas, write stored procedures, build REST APIs, and ship React UIs
Own the full lifecycle: spec review, implementation, code review, deployment, monitoring
Frontend
- Build responsive UIs with React 18 (hooks, lazy loading, code splitting)
- Implement complex forms with react-hook-form + yup validation
- Work with Material-UI, AG Grid, Handsontable, and ApexCharts
Backend
- Design and optimize Node.js/Express APIs with MySQL stored procedures
- Implement webhook integrations with third-party insurance systems
- Build background job processing with BullMQ (email, SMS, report generation)
Infrastructure
Deploy to Azure Kubernetes Service via Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
Manage Azure Blob Storage, Redis caching, and MySQL read replicas
Monitor with Prometheus, Winston logging, and Sentry error tracking
Requirements
Must have:
6+ years building production web applications with React.js and Node.js
Strong SQL skills — ability to write and optimize complex MySQL queries and stored procedures
Experience with REST API design and implementation
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
Understanding of authentication patterns (JWT, OAuth2, SSO)
Ability to debug across the full stack — browser DevTools, network traces, server logs, database queries
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where priorities shift
Good to have:
Experience with Azure services (AKS, Blob Storage, App Insights, DevOps)
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
Experience With Stripe Or Other Payment Integrations
Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or ONNX runtime
Background in insurance, fintech, or compliance-heavy domains
Experience with Puppeteer/headless Chrome for PDF generation
