About The Role

As part of the Technology & Operations team, the Web Developer will be responsible for developing cutting-edge functionality for new or existing enterprise web applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support our operational goals. The Web Developer will play a crucial part in enhancing our digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration, and maintaining optimal performance of our web-based systems. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations, with potential relocation opportunities to Dubai or Oman after the initial probation period.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on full-stack development experience in React, Laravel, React Native, HTML, CSS, and related JavaScript/PHP frameworks.
• Proficiency with databases and code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
• Experience with web server environments like Apache or Nginx.
• Strong problem-solving skills in operational environments.
• Fundamental understanding of software development lifecycles and UI/UX best practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
• Understanding of system testing and automated testing is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
• Familiarity with OCR frameworks is advantageous.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai or Oman after approximately 12 months if required.
• Ability to work collaboratively with onsite depot/yard operations, logistics, and accounts teams.
• Interest in software development, automation, artificial intelligence, and research to solve complex business problems.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop, automate, and maintain web applications and services to support business and operational goals while adhering to performance and quality standards.
• Work closely with team leads and members to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure consistency and quality in design and user experience.
• Document product features, technical specifications, and project progress for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on emerging web development technologies, frameworks, and best practices to continually enhance skills and project outcomes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to the automation of processes and integration of new technologies such as AI and OCR for operational efficiency.
