Java Lead – Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Lead to oversee the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Java with leadership skills to guide a team of developers, ensure best practices, and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Java developers in designing, coding, testing, and deploying applications.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where beneficial.
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes and team productivity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in Java development, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to front-end technologies (Angular, React, or Vue.js).
• Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to handle performance tuning and scalability challenges.
