About the Role

Swiggy is India's largest on-demand convenience platform — 500+ cities, millions of orders daily, and one of the most complex and high-scale engineering challenges in the country. We're hiring a Software Engineer – Backend to build and maintain the Golang-based systems that power our restaurant, logistics, and hyperlocal platforms. You'll write code that impacts millions of Indians every day — and ship it fast.

What You'll Work On

• Design and implement Go-based backend applications and high-performance APIs and microservices
• Build scalable, distributed systems integrated with SQL/NoSQL data storage solutions
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver impactful features at scale
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and scalability issues across Swiggy's core platforms
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high engineering quality and consistency across projects

What You Bring

• 2–4 years of professional backend development experience with Golang
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Experience building APIs and microservices for high-volume, high-scale applications
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern DevOps workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points: Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) | Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) | CI/CD pipelines | Message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) | Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack)
