About The Role
We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer with 3–4 years of comprehensive experience in both frontend and backend PHP development. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in developing, maintaining, and migrating PHP applications, particularly from older PHP versions to newer, more secure and efficient versions. This role involves working on complex web applications, enhancing existing features, and modernizing legacy systems to meet current industry standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing responsive, user-friendly interfaces in collaboration with UI/UX designers, ensuring high standards of performance, usability, and maintainability. You will play a pivotal role in translating wireframes into functional web pages, integrating APIs, and optimizing application performance. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter, contributing to innovative projects that impact our clients globally.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven hands-on experience of 3–4 years in PHP development is essential, with strong knowledge of both frontend and backend technologies. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in PHP frameworks like Laravel and CodeIgniter, along with experience in migrating applications across PHP versions. Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and templating engines is required. Additionally, experience with API integrations, MySQL database management, and implementing security best practices is crucial. Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and basic AWS understanding is highly desirable. Exposure to Node.js for frontend tooling or backend services is considered a plus.
Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain PHP-based web applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and performant.
Lead the migration of legacy PHP applications to newer versions, refactoring codebases to improve efficiency and compatibility.
Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and product teams to translate wireframes and prototypes into fully functional, responsive user interfaces.
Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend application functionalities while ensuring seamless data flow and security.
Optimize application performance through code refactoring, database tuning, and implementing caching strategies.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and documentation to uphold code quality standards.
Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data validation, to protect applications against vulnerabilities.
Maintain version control using Git and manage deployment pipelines through CI/CD practices, utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and AWS services.
