Key Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support business decision-making.
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations to prepare data for BI reporting.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and understand reporting needs.
Optimize performance of Power BI reports and SQL queries for large datasets.
Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
Develop ETL pipelines using SQL and/or data integration tools.
Implement row-level security, user access control, and Power BI service management.
Stay current with Power BI and data analytics trends, tools, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

6+ years of experience in Power BI development, with a strong portfolio of dashboards and visualizations.
Expert-level knowledge of SQL, including writing optimized queries, stored procedures, and joins.
Solid understanding of data warehousing, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modelling.
Hands-on experience with Power BI Service, Power Query (M language), DAX, and data gateways.
Experience with performance tuning of Power BI reports and SQL queries.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Azure Data Services, such as Azure SQL Database, Synapse, or Data Factory.
