Key Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design, develop, and deploy interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into effective data visualizations.
Implement row-level security (RLS) and other access control mechanisms to ensure data privacy and governance.
Optimize data refresh schedules, DAX formulas, and report performance to ensure efficiency and responsiveness.
Create and manage data models, calculated measures, and KPIs using DAX and Power Query (M).
Maintain and monitor Power BI Service workspaces, including dataset refreshes and scheduled reports.
Ensure data consistency and accuracy across reports through validation and testing.
Document dashboard functionalities, data sources, and security configurations.
Provide technical support, training, and guidance to business users and analysts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6+ years of professional experience in Power BI development and data visualization.
Expertise in designing data models and writing complex DAX measures and expressions.
Proven experience in implementing security models (e.g., Row-Level Security, access management).
Strong understanding of data refresh optimization, performance tuning, and Power BI Service configuration.
Proficiency in Power Query (M language) and experience integrating multiple data sources.
Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud-based data sources (e.g., Azure SQL, Snowflake, BigQuery).
Familiarity with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and compliance practices.
