Security for Cloud is focused on ensuring Company’s Public Cloud Platforms are Secure and Compliant with Company’s Standards and expectations all the time. Your role as a Senior Cloud Developer is to design, develop and maintain cloud native infrastructure, solutions and automations for Cloud Security needs using modern programming languages (Python, Groovy, TypeScript, JavaScript etc.) in a multi-cloud setup comprising of AWS, GCP & Azure Clouds. Your role is key as you contribute to the overall performance and success of the Company’s Digital Security Posture.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Cloud Developer with our Cloud Security Team, you will work on the following activities:
Design & Build Cloud-Native Solutions
- Architect and develop scalable, secure, resilient cloud solutions in a multi-cloud setup (specially with GCP and AWS)
- Continuously improve application and infrastructure performance, cost efficiency and reliability
- Develop and enforce cloud development standards, guidelines and procedures, incorporating security best practices
Automations
- Automate Cloud infrastructure deployment using IaC tools: CloudFormation, Terraform
- Develop and continuously enhance the use of core cloud services (compute, storage, network, database etc.)
- Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment workflows
- Integrate security into all phases of software development lifecycle (Secure SDLC, DevSecOps)
- Develop automations to support integration between tools such as CSPM, Splunk, FENCE and AODocs etc.
Collaboration And Documentation
- Collaborate with Cloud Security Product Manager / Owners and ensure alignment of strategies and roadmap
- Document and communicate technical designs, project status, risks, architectural decisions and configurations effectively
- Work closely with other teams: Cloud platform, Security architects and Applications teams etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a Cloud developer and Automation engineer
- Excellent understanding & knowledge of GCP and AWS Cloud Services (Azure Cloud is a plus)
- Proven knowledge and experience in designing and implementing Cloud native solutions
- Hands on experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools: CloudFormation, Terraform
- Proficiency in writing automations using Python, Groovy, TypeScript, JavaScript etc.)
- Strong working experience on DevOps principles: CI/CD automation; Containerization; Security In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, services (compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless), IAM, operational & security best practices
- Past experience in integrating CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) tool is an advantage Relevant industry certifications: AWS or GCP Certified Cloud Architect/Developer (good to have) Proven ability to lead activities + strategy, prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and utilise time effectively
- A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Agile frameworks: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban is an added advantage
Experience: 5-8 Years
Education: Bachelor or master in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field would be preferred
