Role Overview
We are looking for a junior developer with strong hands-on experience in Java and a working understanding of Python, who is willing to learn and contribute to AI-driven development.
Approximately 75% of the role will be feature development (Java applications and/or Python-based AI work), and 25% will be application support. The goal is to progressively reduce the support bandwidth by improving stability and tooling, freeing up time for additional development.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications (primary focus).
Contribute to Python-based/AI development (model integration, scripts, data handling, basic validations).
Own end-to-end development: coding, unit testing, code reviews, and documentation.
Handle L2/L3 support (~25%): incident triage, bug fixes, root-cause analysis, and stabilization.
Create automation/monitoring to reduce recurring support issues over time.
Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable, scalable features.
Follow Agile practices, participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retros.
Must-Have Skills
Java (core + collections, OOP, exceptions, multithreading basics).
Spring/Spring Boot basics for building services/APIs.
Python fundamentals with willingness to learn AI/ML workflows (e.g., data processing, API integration).
SQL (writing queries, joins, debugging data issues).
Version control (Git) and basic CI/CD exposure.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
Exposure to RESTful APIs, JSON, Postman/Swagger.
Basics of AI/ML concepts (prompting, model APIs, inference pipelines) and enthusiasm to upskill.
Familiarity with message queues, caching, or microservices concepts.
Experience with logging/monitoring (e.g., ELK, Grafana) and support tooling.
Knowledge of cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) fundamentals.

Qualifications
2-4 years of professional software development experience.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
