About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Software Developer (Contractor) to join our dynamic team based in New Delhi. This role is pivotal in developing a standalone engineering application that streamlines structural design workflows, calculations, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in full-stack development, with expertise in system architecture, and will work closely with engineering and IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions within an Agile/Scrum environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software tools that enhance our structural design capabilities, focusing on power pole and similar structural connections. Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on back-end technologies is required. Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern JavaScript frameworks is essential. The candidate should be proficient in building and consuming RESTful APIs and have a solid understanding of SQL Server and database schema design. Additional qualifications include experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and secure coding practices. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in structural or mechanical engineering, especially those with experience in steel pole design, estimating, or detailing, along with familiarity with engineering computation frameworks and data visualization tools.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for defining a modular and scalable system architecture that supports high performance and maintainability. This includes establishing CI/CD pipelines, versioning strategies, and environment management to ensure seamless deployment and updates. Collaborating closely with structural engineers, product owners, and IT teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and produce comprehensive documentation such as architecture diagrams, API specifications, and user guides is crucial. The developer will enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement automated testing to uphold quality and security standards.
Key responsibilities include architecting, developing, and maintaining a standalone structural design software application. This involves designing robust back-end systems using .NET Core/ASP.NET and C#, creating secure and optimized database schemas, and developing an intuitive, responsive user interface with modern front-end frameworks like React or Angular. The application will focus on designing connections for power poles and similar structures, with an emphasis on consolidating designs to reduce complexity within projects. Additionally, the role entails supporting proof-of-concept demonstrations, deployment processes, and ongoing system enhancements to meet evolving business needs.
