MERN Stack Developer
Description
We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our dynamic development team. In this role, you will primarily focus on building and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that support our web applications. As part of our agile team, you will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-performance, scalable, and secure solutions. Your expertise in MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js will be crucial in driving the development of new features, optimizing existing systems, and ensuring the overall robustness of our applications.
Responsibilities
Backend Development:
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and MySQL.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Database Management & Integration
- Design and implement data models using both MySQL and MongoDB, optimizing for performance and reliability.
- Manage and integrate multiple databases, ensuring efficient communication between relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) data stores.
- Implement data modelling and database design for new features and functionalities.
API Development & Optimization
- Design and develop secure and efficient RESTful APIs, optimizing data exchange and minimizing response times.
- Work on database query optimization to improve API performance and overall system efficiency.
- Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and resilient to high traffic and load.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in a fintech environment.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and MySQL.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React.js, Next.js, and Redux is a plus.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
