Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Android Developer role based in Ahmedabad. The Android Developer will design, build, and maintain Android applications that provide a smooth, reliable experience for JobBricks users. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product and design teams to understand requirements, implementing user interfaces aligned with Android design guidelines, and integrating backend services and APIs. The role also involves writing clean, testable code, debugging and resolving issues, optimizing app performance, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and consistency. The Android Developer will contribute to continuous improvement of the mobile stack, stay current with Android best practices, and support the release and maintenance of app updates.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Mobile Application Development and experience delivering production-ready Mobile Applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Android Development and Android Design, with familiarity in Material Design principles and modern Android frameworks.
- Candidates should possess solid Software Development skills, including object-oriented programming, version control (e.g., Git), and testing practices.
- Experience with Kotlin and/or Java, Android SDK, and common Android libraries (e.g., Jetpack, Retrofit) is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with backend services is preferred.
- Understanding of performance optimization, secure coding practices, and app lifecycle management on Android is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Ahmedabad, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage tasks independently.
