Blurgs AI is Looking for:
Blurgs AI is looking for a senior DevOps / Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in fully airgapped and on-premise environments. This is a new headcount — you will own the full infrastructure stack from provisioning to application deployment, with zero reliance on external connectivity or SaaS tooling.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and operate mission-critical infrastructure in fully airgapped / disconnected environments
- Manage bare-metal Kubernetes clusters (vanilla, RKE2, or OpenShift) without internet access
- Build and maintain offline CI/CD pipelines using self-hosted GitLab Omnibus or Jenkins with Nexus/Artifactory
- Own infrastructure provisioning end-to-end — from bare-metal (PXE, IPMI/iDRAC) to application layer
- Manage internal container registries (Harbor), image signing, and vulnerability scanning in air-gapped setups
- Implement and maintain self-hosted observability stacks (Prometheus, Loki, ELK) — no cloud monitoring
- Harden systems against security standards (STIGs, NIST, ISO 27001) and participate in audits
- Collaborate with the security team and take full ownership of platform reliability and compliance
Must Haves
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform — IaC with local backends (mandatory, #1 priority)
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible — complex playbooks, custom modules, AWX/Tower (mandatory, #2 priority)
- Bare-metal Kubernetes deployment and operations without internet access (mandatory, #3 priority)
- Proven experience deploying in true airgapped / offline / on-premise environments — no external data access, no VPN tunnels
Good to Have
- Self-hosted CI/CD — GitLab Omnibus, Jenkins, Nexus/Artifactory
- VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) or Proxmox/KVM; bare-metal provisioning via PXE/IPMI
- Security hardening — STIGs, DISA, NIST, ISO 27001; SELinux/AppArmor
- Internal container registry management — Harbor, Cosign/Notary, Trivy/Clair
- Self-hosted observability — Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, ELK
- GitOps with ArgoCD or Flux running fully on-prem
- CKA / CKS certification
- Security+ or CISSP certification
