Job Title: Embedded Linux EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Linux Engineer with extensive experience in developing and maintaining embedded Linux platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux architecture and the ability to customize and configure Linux kernels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with Board Support Packages and device drivers.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Embedded Linux platforms.
- Perform kernel updates, patching, and BSP maintenance.
- Analyze, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Drive software obsolescence management activities.
- Debug complex system-level issues and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and application development teams.
- Support product releases and long-term maintenance activities.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Embedded Linux development.
- Strong understanding of Linux architecture and internals.
- Experience with Linux kernel customization, configuration, and updates.
- Hands-on experience in Board Support Package (BSP) development.
- Proficiency in working with device drivers and kernel modules.
- Experience in Board Bring-up activities.
- Knowledge of Device Tree (DTS/DTSI) architecture and customization.
- Experience working with ARM-based embedded processors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with NXP, ARM, or PowerPC-based embedded systems.
- Knowledge of embedded networking protocols such as TCP/IP, Modbus, and Ethernet.
- Understanding of NAND Flash, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, GPIO, and other common embedded interfaces.
Work Environment
The work environment involves collaboration with diverse teams, including hardware, firmware, and application development. The role may require participation in design reviews and technical discussions, contributing to a dynamic and innovative atmosphere. The candidate will be expected to support product releases and ensure long-term maintenance activities are efficiently executed.
