About The Role
We’re looking for a Java Backend Developer with 5–6 years of hands-on experience to join our team in a remote role. You’ll be responsible for building scalable backend services, working with microservices, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD while taking end-to-end ownership of deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance backend services using Java & Spring Boot
- Work with microservice architecture and RESTful APIs
- Develop migration scripts and validation for platform/account migration
- Design My SQL schemas and optimize queries
- Build search and indexing capabilities using Elasticsearch
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments
- Write clean, well-tested and maintainable code
- Take end-to-end ownership of deliverables from day one
Requirements
- 5–6 years of hands-on backend development experience
- Strong expertise in Java & Spring Boot
- Good experience with microservices and REST APIs
- Hands-on scripting experience
- Strong working knowledge of AWS and cloud-native patterns
- Solid experience with My SQL and Elasticsearch
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools
- Ability to ramp up quickly and work independently
