About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Unity Developer to drive the development of high-quality gaming products and interactive applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Unity, game architecture, performance optimization, and team leadership.
As a Lead Unity Developer, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers, designing scalable game systems, and ensuring the successful delivery of engaging and high-performance gaming experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of Unity-based games and applications.
- Architect scalable, maintainable, and performance-driven game systems.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Art, Backend, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Drive technical decisions, code quality, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and guide Unity developers through code reviews and technical coaching.
- Optimize game performance across multiple platforms and devices.
- Ensure smooth integration of backend services, APIs, and third-party SDKs.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide scalable solutions.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and project execution.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6-10 years of software development experience with at least 4+ years in Unity development.
- Strong expertise in Unity Engine and C# programming.
- Experience building and launching mobile, web, or desktop gaming applications.
- Strong understanding of game architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with multiplayer systems, real-time gameplay, and networking concepts.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and debugging techniques.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, backend services, and third-party SDKs.
- Strong understanding of version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers.
Good to Have
- Experience in real-money gaming, casino games, poker, fantasy sports, or multiplayer gaming platforms.
- Knowledge of Photon, Mirror, PlayFab, or similar multiplayer frameworks.
- Experience with Android and iOS deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
