About The Role
We are looking for a skilled
DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in infrastructure management, application support, and system monitoring. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing
PHP, Node.js, and Java stacks, along with proficiency in Ubuntu/Linux system administration. This role requires ownership of server management, troubleshooting, security, and performance optimization, ensuring smooth operations and availability of applications.
Key Responsibilities
Server & Infrastructure Management:
- Manage existing servers and infrastructure.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
Application Stack Support
- Provide full support for PHP, Node.js, and Java-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and optimize application deployments.
System Administration & Security
- Strong command over Ubuntu/Linux commands and administration.
- Implement and maintain SSL certificates.
- Monitor suspicious traffic, implement load balancing, and enforce traffic control policies.
- Generate and analyze system/security reports.
Database & Backup Management
- Ensure regular database backups and conduct verification checks.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues.
Monitoring & Alerts
- Configure and monitor alert systems (e.g., uptime, performance, security).
- Respond to incidents promptly and apply fixes.
Cloud & Billing Management
- Track infrastructure bills and ensure timely payment.
- Monitor resource usage to optimize cost.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with the development team to support new requirements.
- Assist team members with DevOps and infra-related queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on DevOps/System Administration experience.
- Strong experience with Linux/Ubuntu administration.
- Good understanding of PHP, Node.js, and Java application stacks.
- Experience with load balancers, firewalls, and traffic/security monitoring tools.
- Solid knowledge of SSL setup and maintenance.
- Familiarity with database management, backup, and recovery processes.
- Experience in infrastructure monitoring, alerting tools, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of billing management on cloud platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills (Good To Have)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerization.
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud services.
- Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation.
