Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Project Manager with strong full‑stack exposure—
React on the frontend,
MySQL for data storage, and
Java microservices on the backend—to lead delivery for our Internal Tools team. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with end-to-end project management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery governance. You will drive planning, execution, quality, and adoption of internal platforms used across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of internal tools initiatives—from discovery and scoping through release and adoption.
- Lead planning, estimation, sprint management, and release governance for multiple workstreams.
- Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to define outcomes, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business requirements into technical epics, user stories, and solution designs.
- Provide technical direction for Java microservices, React UI, and MySQL schema design/performance.
- Ensure engineering best practices: code reviews, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and security.
- Manage dependencies, risks, and change requests; maintain transparent status reporting and dashboards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps, InfoSec, Support) to remove blockers and deliver on time.
- Drive stakeholder communication—cadence meetings, demos, and executive updates—with clear, data‑backed narratives.
- Champion developer productivity, quality metrics, and continuous improvement (retrospectives and RCA for incidents).

- Java (8+ or 11/17) with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- RESTful APIs, JSON, and service-to-service communication (HTTP/gRPC/message queues).
- React (hooks, state management, component architecture) and modern frontend tooling (Webpack/Vite, Node.js, npm/yarn).
- MySQL design and optimization (indexing, query performance, transactions) and data migration practices.
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps), containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus).
- Source control and branching strategies with Git; code review practices and quality gates.
