Review basic and detailed engineering designs from a safety and statutory compliance perspective.
Participate in risk assessments, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and safety design reviews.
Ensure safety compliance during installation and commissioning activities.
Monitor high-risk activities such as hot work, electrical work, work at height, and confined space entry.
Implement and monitor permit-to-work systems.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and routine safety inspections.
Ensure safe handling and storage of toxic and flammable chemicals like xylene, paints, and solvents.
Develop and implement SOPs, emergency response plans, and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with GPCB, Factory Inspectorate, Fire Department, and other statutory bodies.
Maintain statutory registers, records, licenses, and legal documentation.
Drive continuous safety improvement initiatives.
Lead and guide a small team of safety personnel post project commissioning.
