Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
MicroStrategy Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions using the MicroStrategy platform. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in report and dashboard development, SQL, data warehousing concepts, and performance optimization. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable and efficient BI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, documents, and schema objects.
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective BI solutions.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and report performance.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal business impact.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting environments.
- Work closely with ETL and data engineering teams to support data integration and warehouse initiatives.
- Perform report validation, testing, and performance tuning.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement activities.
- Provide technical support and enhancements for existing MicroStrategy applications.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in MicroStrategy development and reporting.
- Strong expertise in creating dashboards, reports, documents, and schema objects.
- Proficiency in SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience handling production support and incident resolution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with MicroStrategy Workstation.
- Exposure to cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of BI best practices and data governance principles.
