About The Role

We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to focus on enhancing our remote patient monitoring platform, primarily working on the clinician-facing web dashboard and backend systems. This role involves rapidly onboarding onto an existing codebase, conducting comprehensive audits with AI development tools, and addressing critical quality and reliability gaps. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java and Angular, with a strong emphasis on implementing complex business logic, ensuring system robustness, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Your contributions will be vital in preparing the platform for hospital demonstrations, ensuring all features are fully functional, reliable, and meet clinical safety standards. This is a hands-on implementation role that requires meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and effective communication within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Spring Boot and Java, especially in developing complex business logic and enterprise-grade backend systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Angular, including component architecture, state management, and responsive design.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and contribute to existing codebases, delivering high-quality work within tight timelines.
• Active proficiency with AI development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, Claude, and similar platforms; mastery in integrating these tools into the development workflow.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and the importance of rigorous testing and validation in medical software.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to proactively report issues and collaborate effectively across distributed teams.
• Availability to work overlapping US Eastern Time zone hours for synchronization and meetings.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Audit and enhance the backend systems, including CGM data ingestion, clinical metric computation, and alert engine logic, ensuring clinical accuracy and reliability.
• Implement and optimize RESTful APIs to serve the Angular frontend with real-time and historical patient data, alerts, and case information.
• Develop and improve the case management workflow backend, tracking clinical concerns from initiation through resolution.
• Contribute to frontend development by implementing UI components for glucose dashboards, patient detail pages, case worklists, and alert configuration screens, ensuring responsiveness across devices.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs, logic errors, and edge cases using AI tools and manual testing, maintaining the highest standards for clinical safety.
• Validate the alert engine outputs across various clinical scenarios, fixing discrepancies to ensure accurate decision support for clinicians.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mobile developers and product managers, to ensure seamless integration and feature completeness.
• Maintain thorough documentation of code, testing procedures, and system logic to support regulatory compliance and future development.
