We are looking for a passionate Software Developer to join our WAF SaaS Platform team, where we build, evolve, and operate Check Point’s cloud-native WAF SaaS product.
In this role, you will develop and own end-to-end product capabilities across the stack — from backend services and cloud infrastructure to customer-facing applications and operational tooling. You will work on security, traffic management, scalability, performance, and platform-related capabilities, while contributing to features that directly impact the SaaS product and customer experience.
We are looking for a strong team player with a high sense of ownership, a “get-things-done” mindset, and the ability to contribute across all layers of the system - including backend services, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and frontend applications when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end product features across the stack as part of Check Point’s WAF SaaS product
- Develop scalable and production-grade backend services, APIs, platform components, and customer-facing capabilities
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, production operations, and ongoing improvements
- Take ownership of features and projects from concept and design through production deployment and operational support
- Work on product capabilities related to traffic processing, security logic, scalability, reliability, performance, and platform behavior
- Contribute to frontend applications and user-facing flows when needed, helping deliver complete product experiences
- Work closely with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and automation tools
- Investigate production issues, debug complex problems, and understand the real-world impact of features, bugs, and infrastructure changes
- Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, automation flows, and operational tools, using metrics and observability data to improve reliability and product decisions
- Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps engineers, product managers, security researchers, support teams, and other stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a software developer
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Strong programming skills in at least one high-level programming language such as Python, Go, Java, C++, or similar
- Experience developing scalable, production-grade software systems
- Experience with cloud-native or SaaS products
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
- Experience contributing across multiple layers of the stack, including backend systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and frontend applications
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking, operating systems, and software design principles
- Experience debugging complex software issues in production or large-scale environments
- Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
- Experience using AI-powered development tools and integrating AI capabilities into daily development workflows
- Strong ownership, problem-solving abilities, and a “get-things-done” mindset
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with backend development and distributed systems architecture
- Familiarity with frontend development using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Experience with databases, preferably NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Experience with observability and search platforms such as Elastic Stack and Grafana
- Experience with caching technologies such as Redis
- Experience with messaging, streaming, or event-driven architectures such as Kafka
- Familiarity with CDN integrations, certificate management, traffic routing, DDoS protection, or global SaaS infrastructure
