Job Title: Clinical Immersion Programme Manager (DigiBio)

Summary of Post
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to be appointed to play a pivotal as clinical immersion programme manager for the DigiBio Innovators Initiative Programme.
The DigiBio Innovators Programme is a Digital Health innovation programme focused on identifying commercially viable needs led opportunities across the medical care pathway from pre-acute, acute, post-acute through to homecare, and the personal health and wellbeing sectors. It will provide innovators with innovation training, mentorship and direct access to healthcare environments to identify commercially viable opportunities. Digibio is part of the Enterprise Ireland’s Innovators Initiative programme, a national programme that will supports Irelands economic goals. We envisage an RCSI led immersive programme focusing on primary care, physiotherapy in secondary care, and pharmacy, which will explore a range of needs in community settings for which digital solutions have a strong fit RCSI will coordinate clinical immersion in collaboration with partners, DKIT, DCU, Tyndall and TCD.
Reporting to the Head of Innovation and working closely with the DigiBio team in DkIT, the Programme Director and Clinical Champions, the Clinical Immersion Programme Manager will have key responsibility for the planning, coordination, and management of 8 week placements with pre agreed clinical sites.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Planning and management of all immersive environment engagements
- Day to day support and management of immersive activities including timetabling and scheduling
- Highlighting the needs of clinicians and healthcare providers in support immersive activities and supporting resolution of these.
- Scheduling immersive access, managing agreements with immersive sites e.g., MOUs, NDAs etc.
- Arranging administration requirements – security access etc. including Data Protection and other governance and legal requirements
- Scheduling training with clinical champions, supporting clinical immersive champions as they navigate access to sites.
- Support all logistics and scheduling in coordination with stakeholders including troubleshooting and managing unforeseen requirements
- Train student fellows on how to manage their presence in immersive setting to minimise disruption / optimise workflow
- With the support of the program team identification of new immersion sites nationally and internationally
Essential Requirements/Qualifications for the role:
- A suitable candidate will have a primary degree
- Proven project management skills and experience
- Knowledge and experience of healthcare settings
- Excellent stakeholder & clinical relationship management skills
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate to multiple and varied audiences.
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively as part of a team; is cordial, tolerant and willing to help others; is cooperative and patient; shares work and information; establishes rapport, can influence and develop effective networks
- Conscientious: has a pro-active approach to work, anticipating and resolving problems in advance; has keen attention to detail, from anticipating and addressing issues in advance to understanding requests and delivering quality work with minimal errors
- Flexibility: can operate flexibly within a busy environment, can shift focus when required
- Motivated: displays a ‘can-do’ attitude, and demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for the role.
Desirable Requirements/ Qualifications for the role:
- Substantial experience at mid to senior management level
- Experienced, self-starting, and able to work independently to facilitate the programme.
- Experience in managing placements in a healthcare setting
- Experience working in a clinical and healthcare environment ideally managing innovation programmes.
- Collaboration – nationally and internationally
- Significant experience in and knowledge of the digital health domain
