About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead engineers, improve technical execution, and help scale engineering systems and culture.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role — not a pure people management position.

You will spend significant time involved in:

• architecture discussions

• technical reviews

• delivery execution

• mentoring engineers

• platform reliability initiatives

• AI-assisted development workflows

You will work closely with leadership, senior engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve engineering quality, delivery predictability, and long-term platform health.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor backend and frontend engineers

• Drive architecture and technical design discussions

• Improve engineering standards and technical quality

• Help scale AI-assisted engineering workflows across teams

• Improve observability, reliability, and maintainability

• Support hiring and engineering team growth

• Improve sprint execution and delivery predictability

• Participate in code reviews and technical decision-making

• Help modernize legacy systems and services

Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering

• 2+ years managing engineering teams

• Strong backend or distributed systems experience

• Comfortable reviewing code and participating in architecture discussions

• Experience leading engineers in production environments

• Strong English communication skills

• Able to work on-site in Bandung

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools

Nice to Have

• Experience with Golang

• Experience modernizing Laravel/PHP systems

• SaaS platform experience

• Payments or fintech infrastructure experience

• Experience scaling engineering organizations

Compensation & Benefits

• IDR 24,000,000 – 35,000,000/month

• Full-time on-site role

• Work directly with international stakeholders

• Hardware support provided as needed
