Aboutthe Role
As a CBRESecurity Manager, you will oversee the site security operations for our clientresponsible for the security operations for a small to medium-sized property.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage security vendors responsible for guarding operations and security systems (Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection)
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Oversee site security operations involving visitor access and activities.
- Review, enhance and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site security operations. Collaborate with department managers to determine security needs.
- Support department regional administration and coordination tasks such as security survey scheduling, policy document review and business continuity coordination.
- Investigate, report, and maintain records of security-related incidents on the property. Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms.
- Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facility repairs in a timely manner.
- Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss.
- Consult with client representatives on issues related to security personnel.
- Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses.
- Gather security intelligence and implement preventative measures. Keep abreast of innovative technologies and advancements in security services.
- Lead by example and model behaviour that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day operational issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
WhatYou’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Completed Local or National security staff certification, required.
- Relevant experience in Security & incident management is a must.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
