About Maja International Homeschool
Maja International Homeschool is a bilingual hybrid school offering a full K–12 programme, combining:
- Cambridge International Education (Primary, IGCSE, A-Level)
- Kurikulum Merdeka (mandatory Indonesian subjects)
- American teaching methodology (direct instruction, problem-solving, writing across subjects, and portfolio assessment)
We are continuously hiring across our academic core and skill tracks. Responsibilities
- Teach your subject area following the relevant framework — Cambridge-aligned, Pearson Edexcel, Kurikulum Merdeka, or industry/BNSP standards for skill tracks
- Prepare and continuously refine teaching materials — lesson plans, worked examples, problem sets, and exam-style practice
- Deliver structured instruction in English (primarily) using a student-centered, discussion-driven approach
- Participate in the 4+1 model: 4 days of structured home learning support + 1 in-person day at our Kebayoran Baru HQ for seminars, practicum, and collaboration
- Keep class sizes small (maximum 10 students) and personalize feedback to each learner
- Prepare students for relevant external assessments (IGCSE, AS/A-Level, SAT, IELTS, BNSP, or Kurikulum Merdeka) where applicable
- Collaborate with other teachers across subjects to support writing, communication, and cross-disciplinary projects
- Provide thoughtful, timely feedback through portfolios, written assessments, and one-on-one guidance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in your subject area, education, or a closely related field (or equivalent professional credential for skill tracks)
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or relevant industry experience
- Strong subject understanding and the ability to explain ideas clearly to a range of learners
- Comfortable with small class sizes, student-centered learning, and discussion-based teaching
- Familiarity with Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, Kurikulum Merdeka, or BNSP frameworks is a plus (depending on the role)
- Genuine interest in supporting student growth — not just delivering content
- Based in Jabodetabek for in-person teaching days; remote option available for highly experienced candidates
