The Schärfen Lab at the RNA Therapeutics Institute (RTI) of UMass Chan is looking to recruit a postdoc. We study how RNA folding shapes gene expression, evolution, and disease by applying high-throughput experimental approaches (massively parallel assays, library design & construction, RNA structure probing, …).

Strong candidates will be highly motivated, experienced wet-lab scientists with an interest in developing ambitious high-throughput experiments at the interface of biochemistry, genomics, and computation. We aim to fill this position during 2026 with flexible start dates.
