Doris Dev is a consumer product development company. We help companies make new products and bring them to market. Our offices are based in Brooklyn (DDNY) and Hong Kong (DDHK). Doris Dev works with startups and established companies across many consumer categories including: hardware and electronics, cookware, soft-goods, and packaging. Doris Dev also incubates internal brands (such as Canopy and Rally) and grows and supports these brands to launch and beyond.


What We’re Looking For


Doris Dev is searching for a Program Manager who enjoys owning robust projects and solving problems while providing a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are willing to build deep knowledge in the product development process, wear many hats, and coordinate people and process to ensure projects are executed on in a timely manner. This individual would have gotten their feet wet in program management for various international consumer goods brands, understanding what it means to perform supplier management, product development cycle, procurement, global logistics, and everything in between.


The Doris Dev Program Manager will be a member of the DDHK Program team and report to the GM of DDHK.


Program Management Responsibilities:


  • Working daily with Engineering, Quality, US Program Managers, Sourcing, and Operations teams
  • Serving as the primary internal stakeholder for the programs, ensuring that the work is aligned with priorities every step of the way
  • Coordination and oversight of the product development process, which includes: supplier vetting and onboarding, supply chain set-up, delivery of finished goods, and any ongoing work with the client.
  • Manage timelines and budgets to ensure programs are executed on time and within budget- clearly capturing and messaging when changes to either develop both to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of expected product priorities through the development cycle- on features, materials, timeline, and cost.
  • Building and presenting assets to clients on a weekly and biweekly basis with US Program Managers- gathered from internal team members and suppliers. Maintaining timely and clear communication across numerous channels with the internal team on a daily basis.
  • Building trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders to maintain and sustain long-lasting partnerships.
  • Ensuring supplier data, information, and assets are organized and easily accessible for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Overseeing day-to-day project management responsibilities for programs and ensuring requested action items are well defined, understood, and executed according to the expected timeline.
  • Facilitate daily communication with the US, HK, and Asia teams/factories.
  • Identify and outreach to new vendors for new product RFQs.
  • Support general operational needs of the HK team as it pertains to communication amongst internal & external members, organizing data, shipping, and cost analysis.
  • Communicating with the US and Supplier's design and engineering teams to ensure development requirements and work plans are scoped and executed according to client requirements.
  • Provide daily/weekly project updates via email & calls (including early morning/late night calls with New York–based team members as needed).
  • Working to mitigate risk and flag potential issues before they arise.
  • Handle multiple projects and work independently while establishing cross-functional partnerships to ensure production meets company objectives.

You should apply for this role if you:


  • Have (5) or more years of experience in a program/product management role.
  • Have experience organizing assets into a cohesive workstream for shared visibility (e.g., preparing & updating GANTT charts, budgets, and presentations) and presenting assets to executive teams or external clients.
  • Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (speaking, reading, writing at a professional level).
  • Proficient in a variety of programs- Microsoft/Adobe Suites, and Program Management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, ClickUp, Jira)
  • Have experience managing numerous programs simultaneously at varying stages of progress and working with cross-functional teams.
  • You are a team player who values clear communication and building consensus among multiple stakeholders.
  • You are detail-oriented and goal-driven.
  • Experience working with Chinese factories for supply chain oversight (program scheduling, procurement, transportation).
  • You are able and willing to work independently, but do not hesitate to ask for clarification when you need it.


Bonus Points:


  • You have a PMP certification and applied experience
  • You have managed large SKU assortments through product commercialization
  • Have helped commercialize physical products, working with suppliers and vendors to bring new products to market from the concept phase.
  • Experience in sourcing/merchandising of international consumer products/brand operations for a multinational company is preferred.
  • Have experience working with supply chain and operational service partners, including suppliers (overseas or domestic), importers, freight carriers, and warehouses.


Working Hours


Because our work involves coordination with the US office, there are meetings that are scheduled outside of traditional 9-6 working hours. That being said, we trust all team members to manage their schedules and to take appropriate measures to take care of themselves and their well-being.
