Assistant Logistics Manager to support its expanding portfolio of art projects, exhibitions, and international shipments.
Job Description
- Oversee and manage daily logistics operations, including domestic and international transport, packing, crating, and installation of artworks.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams, art handlers, warehouse operations, transportation partners, and external vendors.
- Ensure all shipments comply with customs requirements, insurance guidelines, and international art movement standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients such as galleries, museums, auction houses, and private collectors.
- Plan and manage complex, time‑sensitive logistics projects including exhibition installations, art fairs, and special events.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost‑effective operations.
- Implement and enhance operational procedures to strengthen service quality, safety, and risk management.
- Lead, train, and motivate the logistics team to maintain professional handling and movement standards.
The Successful Applicant
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, ideally within fine arts, luxury goods, specialised logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of international shipping, customs clearance, and handling of high‑value or fragile items.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a customer‑centric mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast‑moving environment with tight deadlines and high attention to detail.
- Experience leading or supervising teams is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are beneficial.
