Job Description
As a Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensuring effective financial controls and risk management practices are in place.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights.
- Monitoring cash flow and optimizing financial resources for operational efficiency.
- Supervising and mentoring the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Supporting audits and liaising with external auditors as needed.
- Staying updated on industry regulations and ensuring compliance within the retail sector.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Senior Finance Manager/Financial Controller Should Have
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA preferred)
- 10-15+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit
- Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
- Frequent travel is required
