Java Software Engineer

Join a team of energetic professionals and help shape products that make a difference. The Software Engineer position is permanent and full-time, based in Athens, northern suburbs. A hybrid working model is also provided.

Responsibilities

The platform handles millions of loan transactions daily. Efficiency, performance, and quality are key aspects in every phase of software development, which the candidate should be aware of. Developers have the ability to see the product in all its lifecycle phases. The platform is implemented in Java using the Spring framework, based on a microservices architecture.

What You’ll Do:

• Participating in the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of the platform.
• Ensuring efficiency, performance, and quality in every development phase.
• Contributing to a platform with technologies such as: Spring, JMS, REST Web Services, Hazelcast, Postgres, Kafka, Elastic, Docker Swarm, and Red Hat Linux.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in the development of back-end platforms with strong programming skills in the Spring Framework.
• Knowledge of Relational Database technologies.
• Knowledge of NoSQL will be considered an additional asset.
• Experience in working with secure code development guidelines and practices (e.g., OWASP, NIST).

Experience

• 1+ year of working experience in software engineering
