About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Lead Developer to join Theodo GovTech, a specialized branch dedicated to serving public sector clients including ministries, local authorities, and major public operators. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital products that are accessible, sustainable, and beneficial to society. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring they meet client expectations and adhere to best practices in software development.

You will work closely with clients and internal teams to design complex features, validate architectures, and maintain high standards of code quality through rigorous methodologies such as Theodo’s 3S routines and code reviews. As a leader, you will also mentor and support software engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth, innovation, and excellence. Your role will involve direct client interaction to ensure satisfaction and continuous alignment with project goals, as well as overseeing the success of your team members through regular coaching and performance management.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of professional experience in software development
• At least 1 year of experience in a Tech Lead role
• Proficiency in complex web concepts including front-end, back-end, databases, infrastructure, deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and logging
• Solid understanding of DevOps tools and practices such as Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes
• Strong interest in maintaining high-quality code standards
• Experience in creating simple, scalable infrastructure architectures
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
• Bonus: Knowledge of public sector projects, accessibility standards, or experience in the public domain

Responsibilities

• Ensure the successful delivery and quality of digital projects in line with client expectations
• Design and validate complex features and ensure their feasibility for development teams
• Maintain and improve the quality of architecture and code through Theodo’s methodologies and routines
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and project alignment
• Participate in routine meetings such as backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and project ceremonies
• Lead and support software engineers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and facilitating pair programming
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to support their professional development
