Pros: It's great to be part of an organization with such a strong social mission, focusing on digital inclusion and upskilling. The team I work with is genuinely collaborative and supportive, which makes tackling challenges much easier. I've learned a lot about the EdTech sector and gained valuable experience in program coordination and participant support. The flexibility of remote work is also a big plus for maintaining a good work-life balance.
Cons: While the mission is clear, sometimes the pace of change and rapid scaling can lead to communication gaps or a feeling of being stretched thin, especially during peak enrollment periods for our coding bootcamps. Processes, like approval workflows, can occasionally be a bit slow or unclear, which can impact efficiency. More structured career progression pathways would be beneficial for long-term staff development.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing clearer, standardized internal processes for approvals and project management to improve efficiency. Also, developing more defined career progression frameworks could help retain talent and provide clearer growth paths for employees passionate about the Simplon.co mission.

Pros: The collaborative environment and the opportunity to work on diverse tech projects are definite highlights. Simplon fosters a sense of community, and learning from peers and mentors is constant. It's a fantastic launchpad for careers in software development and digital roles, especially for people transitioning into the tech industry.
Cons: While project-based work is engaging, sometimes the pace can feel a bit rushed, leading to minor scope creep or tight deadlines on certain assignments. There's also a potential for inconsistency in project complexity or clarity of requirements depending on the external client or internal brief.
Advice to Management: Continue investing in project diversity and mentorship programs. Clearer communication on project scope from the outset would further enhance the developer experience.

Simplon.co genuinely cares about social inclusion and digital accessibility, which creates a really positive and mission-driven work environment. The flexibility for instructors to adapt their teaching methods is great.
Cons: Sometimes the administrative overhead feels a bit high, and resources can be stretched thin, especially with expanding programs. Clearer career progression paths for internal staff beyond teaching would also be beneficial. Occasional lack of consistent project management support can lead to minor delays.
Advice to Management: Consider investing more in administrative support and defining clearer internal career development frameworks to retain talent and streamline operations.
