Your responsibilities

You will own and evolve the developer experience at Verda end-to-end - designing, building, and improving the tools, workflows, and platforms that our engineers rely on every day.

This includes shaping our CI/CD pipelines, developers’ onboarding experience, infrastructure as code practices, and development environments to reduce friction and improve iteration speed.

'You will work across Kubernetes-based infrastructure, internal tooling, and developer workflows to ensure a consistent and scalable experience.

You will approach this role with a product mindset - treating developers as your customers. You’ll identify pain points, test solutions, iterate based on feedback, and continuously improve the experience.

From research and prototyping to implementation, rollout, and long-term support, you will own initiatives end-to-end. You will also help drive architectural decisions, simplify complexity, and ensure our tooling and infrastructure remain cohesive as we scale.

Your key competencies

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments
• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Argo, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar)
• Familiarity with modern development environments (e.g., Tilt, DevSpace, or similar)
• Strong understanding of developer workflows and tooling ecosystems
• Ability to design and improve systems end-to-end with a pragmatic, scalable approach
• Product mindset with focus on user experience, iteration, and impact
• Highly hands-on and results-oriented, with strong ownership
• Comfortable challenging ideas, navigating trade-offs, and driving decisions collaboratively
• Comfortable improving existing systems rather than building from scratch
• Clear communicator who adapts based on feedback

Practicalities

Location: Helsinki

Hybrid mode: Visiting the Helsinki office 3 days a week
