Cloud SecOps Engineer

We’re looking for a Cloud SecOps Engineer to join our DevSecOps team and lead the effort to embed security into every layer of our technology stack.

You’ll design, implement, and continuously improve security across our Azure cloud environments - with a focus on AKS, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, firewalls, Zero Trust principles, and RBAC with MFA.

You’ll join a strong DevOps team, bringing the “Sec” into it — driving secure-by-design practices from code to infrastructure. Partnering with our CISO, you’ll help ensure our systems and operations meet the highest standards of security and compliance, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures in Microsoft Azure, focusing on AKS security, network segmentation, and workload protection.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud for continuous threat detection, vulnerability management, and compliance monitoring.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines by automating policy enforcement, code scanning, and infrastructure compliance.
• Implement Zero Trust principles and RBAC across users, services, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps engineers to promote secure coding, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance efforts in partnership with the CISO — including risk assessments, documentation, and audit preparation.
• Monitor and respond to cloud security alerts and incidents, driving continuous improvement in detection and response.
• Promote security awareness and collaboration across teams — influencing secure thinking from development through production operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience in Azure cloud security, including AKS, Defender for Cloud, Zero Trust, and RBAC.
• Deep understanding of IAM, network security, and security automation in DevOps environments.
• Proven ability to build and secure CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Snyk, or similar.
• Familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 frameworks and audit processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to bridge security, development, management, and operations.
• A proactive team player, passionate about building a security-first culture within high-performing technical teams.
• Relevant certifications such as AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer Associate), CISSP, or CCSP are a plus.
