Senior Software Engineer

Are you driven by improving the way advanced robotic systems are built, scaled, and maintained in production, while turning complex ideas into robust, production-ready solutions?

In this role, you’ll be a crucial part of strengthening the software engineering foundation of our Robotics Engineering team and help raise the software engineering bar across a multidisciplinary environment. You will combine hands-on development with technical leadership and mentoring, working closely with robotics and controls engineers to build robust, efficient, testable, and production-ready software.

Your areas of responsibility

• Build, optimize, and maintain robotics related software components in modern C++
• Drive structural improvements, architectural changes, and high standards for code quality and documentation
• Improve CI pipelines, containerized environments, and development workflows using tools such as Docker and CMake
• Strengthen test coverage and promote test-driven development and maintainable peer review practices
• Collaborate closely with robotics and manipulator control engineers to bring new features and ideas into robust production-ready systems

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a similar technical background
• Strong professional experience with modern C++ (C++17/20 or later) and solid working knowledge of Python
• Proven experience building and maintaining larger software codebases with a strong focus on quality, scalability, and refactoring
• Hands-on experience with CMake, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized development environments
• Familiarity with robotics-related tools and libraries such as ROS/ROS 2, PCL, and OpenCV is an advantage
• You communicate fluently in English and ideally Danish, both written and spoken.

You will report to Anders Højholdt Daugaard, R&D Director, and be part of our R&D organization, working closely with robotic, mechanical and software engineers across disciplines.
