Fødevarestyrelsen er en del af Ministeriet for Fødevarer, Landbrug og Fiskeri. Vi arbejder for en bæredygtig fødevareproduktion med fokus på sikre fødevarer og sunde dyr. Vi står bl.a. bag de velkendte smiley-kontroller i cafeer og restauranter, holder øje med dyrenes sundhed og velfærd og har ansvaret for de officielle kostråd til befolkningen. Vi er i alt ca. 1500 medarbejdere og tæller alt fra jurister, dyrlæger og it-specialister over tilsynsførende, laboranter og kontoransatte fordelt over hele landet. Mindst én ting har vi til fælles: Vi arbejder for føden.
