About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer (m/w/d) to join our team in Harburg (Schwaben) or Lübeck. In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of Prins.NET, our central project information system. This platform enables us to plan, control, document, and analyze our projects comprehensively. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for the entire technology stack, from database design and business logic to the user interface that our colleagues rely on daily. Your work will directly influence the efficiency, functionality, and modernization of our internal systems, contributing to the continuous improvement and expansion of Prins.NET.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have several years of professional experience in software development, particularly with VB.NET (or strong knowledge of C# with willingness to work in VB.NET). You should possess solid expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL, including index optimization, query analysis, and performance tuning. Experience in frontend development with WinForms, WPF, or ASP.NET is essential. You should be committed to writing clean, maintainable code, adhering to best practices such as clear layer separation and proper abstraction. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and Microsoft Graph API is required. Knowledge of version control systems like Git and an understanding of CI/CD processes are also important. The ability to work independently, analyze challenges thoroughly, and develop sustainable solutions is crucial. Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, is necessary. Wünschenswert sind Erfahrungen in der Microsoft 365 / SharePoint-Integration, MSAL/OAuth, asynchrone Programmierung und Performance-Optimierung in datenintensiven Anwendungen.
Responsibilities
- Weiterentwicklung und Pflege von Prins.NET in VB.NET (.NET Framework / .NET)
- Entwurf, Optimierung und Pflege der SQL Server-Datenbank – einschließlich Schema-Design, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Performance-Tuning und Indexstrategie
- Vollständige Verantwortung für den Full-Stack-Bereich – von Datenmodellen über Backend-Logik bis hin zur Benutzeroberfläche, angepasst an die jeweiligen Anforderungen
- Anbindung interner Systeme und Schnittstellen, z.B. Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Graph API
- Refactoring von gewachsenem Code mit Fokus auf Modernisierung und nachhaltige Verbesserungen
- Sicherstellung der Codequalität durch Reviews, Tests und technische Dokumentation
- Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Fachbereichen zur Anforderungsanalyse und Umsetzung passgenauer Lösungen
