The Role
- Oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud in 2025
- Collaborate with global teams and influence the evolution of cloud services and technology
- Enhance day-to-day operations and improve availability, reliability, and performance
- Deliver scalable services and ensure a high-availability experience for EU customers
- Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents
- Mentor junior engineers and lead strategic team efforts
What You'll Need
- EU citizenship and residency in the EU
- Expertise in systems engineering (hardware, software, networking, operating systems)
- Experience scripting processes (Bash, Python, or Ruby)
- Strong understanding of Linux and networking
- Ability to troubleshoot and anticipate problems affecting system performance
- Experience creating and improving standard operational procedures (SOPs)
- Experience with monitoring frameworks (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CDK, CloudFormation, Puppet)
