Venture capital has been a manual, fragmented craft for too long. At TAG Capital GmbH, we’re turning capital allocation into a systemic science. We are building Invessence - an AI-native infrastructure that connects funds, founders, and venture partners into a single, high-fidelity information loop.
- We aren’t looking for a “student assistant.” We are looking for a Full-Stack Intern ready to ship production-grade AI infrastructure alongside our founding team in the heart of Berlin. We see this internship as the starting point for a long-term journey, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on your performance.

TAG Capital GmbH is a Berlin-based fintech startup redefining how investors discover, evaluate, and act on startup opportunities. We sit at the intersection of AI, venture capital, and data infrastructure, building systems that make investing more intelligent, contextual, and human.
Our ecosystem consists of two core offerings:
- Product: Invessence is an operating system for institutional investors to manage thesis-driven deal flow, surface high-signal opportunities, and generate real-time portfolio intelligence.
- Managed Services: An AI-powered navigation layer for founders, helping them identify, understand, and connect with the most relevant investors for their journey and vice versa.
Together, we are building the foundation for AI-native investing, where data, intuition, and relationships work seamlessly together.
🛠 What You’ll Work On
You will not be stuck with "intern projects." You will contribute to the core codebase:
- Data Pipelines: Architect "smart pipes" that scrape, chunk, and embed unstructured venture data into our decision fabric.
- Asynchronous APIs: Design robust APIs to handle the variable latency of frontier AI models.
- RAG Infrastructure: Build high-performance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using Node.js and Vector Databases like Pinecone.
- AI Orchestration: Develop backend logic integrating LLMs and agentic AI into our investment OS.
🎯 Your Profile
The Must-Haves:
- Mandatory Intern (Pflichtpraktikum): You are currently enrolled in a university program that requires a mandatory 3-month internship.
- MERN Fundamentals: Strong experience with MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), using TypeScript across the stack as the core
- AWS Foundations: Hands-on familiarity with core AWS services, including ECS, S3, EC2, and VPC (you understand how to deploy and manage backend services in the cloud).
- Cloud Workflows: Experience working with AWS and Vercel deployment pipelines.
- Language: Fluent in English (German is a plus).
The Edge (Nice-to-Haves):
- AI-Native Workflow: You use Claude Code / Codex / Cursor to build faster than a human should.
- Frontier Tech: Exposure to Pinecone, Vector DBs, LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning models, and AI infrastructure management.
- Advanced AWS Stack: Familiarity with services like Elastic Load Balancer (ELB), ECR, Lightsail, SES, SNS, SQS, and CloudWatch.
- Product Thinking: Basic understanding of UI/UX principles, you care about how things look, feel, and flow - empathise with the user perspective, not just how features work functionality-wise.
- Builder Spirit: A GitHub profile that shows you love building things from scratch.
