We are a Japanese-owned IT vendor based in Düsseldorf, Germany, providing dedicated IT services to our group companies across Europe — including sales, wholesale, and manufacturing entities. Our team develops and maintains the digital infrastructure that keeps these businesses running: ERP interface applications, a proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS), and a fully custom-built ERP solution for our manufacturing subsidiary.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Mid-level Software Developer (Backend / Full-stack) to join our team in Düsseldorf. You will design, develop, and support business-critical applications in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and end users across multiple European sites. Depending on project needs, occasional on-site visits to group companies within Europe may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain interface applications for the commercial ERP system (SAGE 300)
- Design and build a Warehouse Management System (WMS) integrated with ERP workflows
- Contribute to the development of a proprietary ERP system used by our manufacturing subsidiary
- Write clean, maintainable .NET code for Windows Server environments
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries in Oracle and MS SQL Server
- Work with group companies to gather requirements and deliver solutions that fit their operational needs
- Travel within Europe on an as-needed basis for requirements workshops or go-live support
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional experience in backend or full-stack development
- Proficiency in .NET (C# preferred) for Windows-based application development
- Solid hands-on knowledge of relational databases: Oracle and/or MS SQL Server
(schema design, stored procedures, performance tuning)
- Experience working in Windows Server environments
- Business-level English AND Japanese (both required for daily team communication)
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to travel within Europe when required
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with SAGE 300 or similar commercial ERP platforms
- Background supporting multi-entity or multi-site organizations
